"347 Vineyards" are single variety wines, composed of carefully selected parcels of fruit from different valleys. The result, a multi-dimensional wine, a fusion of unique character. It is a new concept in wine that reflects Chile's diversity and De Martino's pioneering spirit.

This Carmenère presents a deep red colour with shades of violet. On the nose, it has intense notes of red fruit, tobacco and cassis that are perfectly accompanied by subtle hints of vanilla. The mouth is full bodied, very fresh and concentrated with a perfect balance between the red fruit, vanilla and chocolate.
Our winery was founded in 1934 by Pietro De Martino, who arrived in Chile in search of a place to satisfy his passion for wine making.Looking for the perfect site, he found Isla de Maipo in the Maipo Valley, just 50 km (31 mi) from Santiago between the Andes Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. The village earned its name because it had been surrounded by a number of branches of the Maipo River until the early 20th century. A powerful earthquake and changes in climate have since dried up all but one large branch of the river.

Our vineyards now stand on one of the former branches of the river, which lends the soil characteristics that are unique in the valley and particularly good for grape production.

The property has grown tremendously since Don Pietro founded it so many years ago. It now has 300 organically managed hectares planted to vine and still maintains its sense of being a family winery.

The third and fourth generations of the De Martino family now work in the winery every day. Today, more than 80 years after it began, the winery maintains its dynamism, family tradition, and the adventurous, pioneering spirit of the De Martino family.

The Flichman family began producing fine wines on their Estate in Maipu, Mendoza in 1910, and the quality of their wines came to be renowned throughout Argentina.

The celebrated Portuguese vitivinicultural group, Sogrape, purchased the winery in 1998, and immediately began a rolling program of modernization and expansion. Their aim of strengthening Flichman's leadership in the production of high quality wines has been realised, and the wines from this enterprising winery are clean and modern, with a definite Argentine character.

The original winery, surrounded by its vineyards, stands at the very foot of the Andes. Preserved, restored and enlarged by their proprietors, it has been endowed with the very finest and most advanced wine-making technology: stainless steel, double-cased fermentation tanks which permit automatic temperature control for cold fermentation, plus small French and American oak casks
