About Us
Design Warehouse began life in Sydney in 1973. Way ahead of their time, the owners imported furniture from Italy the likes of which no one had ever seen.Timeless lounge chairs from Le Corbusier, Eames and Arne Jacobsen; sofas by Cassina, Zanotta and Philippe Starck were juxtaposed with tables by Carson and Noguchi.
Over the years, the competition grew. It was becoming clear that their clients were no longer prepared to pay enormous prices for these designer originals.
It took a year visiting manufacturers in Europe and Asia to finally find some who could faithfully reproduce, in every detail, the furniture Design Warehouse customers had grown to know and love. These replicas have been welcomed to the Design Warehouse collections and now sit alongside the Italian originals.

This is a sun lounge with a difference. Formed from a single piece of high quality polypropylene. Exclusive design engineering allows the product to be rigid and versatile, yet retain the elastic properties of the polypropylene plastic for maximum versatility and comfort. So comfortable in fact that no cushions are required.
This stackable, lightweight (9kg) sunlounge has a simple drainage hole in the base which allows the product to be left outdoors in all weather - or makes it very relaxing in shallow surf!
The sun lounge is soft, friendly, easy to clean, waterproof and resistant to temperature variations and UV damage. It is an ingenious combination of lightness and strength, weighing in at just 9 kilograms, it is easily moved and stacked away.
The base of the chair has a unique combination of sleek paired rockers and supporting ribs, designed for minimum visibility and maximum contour, safety and support. With an ergonomically designed back, and rounded wrap around edge the gentle concave curve of the chair provides the perfect place to while away the hours.
